The theme of the pavilion was "Steampunk China". Ancient Chinese were mining and burning coal centuries before the rest world. And this remarkable achievement was commemorated in the steampunk aesthetic we had chosen for the pavilion. It combined vintage historical elements connected to coal mining and the use of steam with the traditional facade.
